Janne Kurtti keeps the ‘sample wheels’ spinning

I work as a Product specialist at Iisalmi mill. My main role is to manage our sample process, support the staff there and keep the ’sample wheels’ spinning. Developing the processes and monitoring the product quality is a part of my daily routines. There is a lot of variation in my working days – somedays I work on my laptop in the office and sometimes behind the circular saw at the mill.

Prior to Lunawood, I worked as a product designer in packaging industry. Renovation and marketing are also familiar areas to me from my previous works.  As a forest owner, finnish wood and forestry are well known to me.

I was resilient when applying to Lunawood. Before my current job, I applied once for another positions but became second. After all it was a luck, since after that I gained more working experience which is now very useful in this job.

I value most in our company the supportive working environment and that Lunawood appreciates it’s employees. Different backgrounds and skills are being valued and used in Lunawood.

Most rewarding in my job is to see the concrete impact of our work. The business and it´s employees are evolving every day to become better. Seeing and experiencing this is very rewarding.
