Designed by the internationally acclaimed FGMF Arquitetos, Casa da Rua Escócia in São Paulo is defined by a careful interplay of volumes, natural light, and materiality. The residence reflects the studio’s contextual design approach, where contemporary architecture is closely connected to climate, landscape, and spatial experience.

Located in the Jardim Europa district, the house is composed of carefully positioned volumes that create openness while maintaining privacy within the dense urban environment. Large glazed surfaces, open terraces, and seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces strengthen the connection to the surrounding greenery and the tropical climate of São Paulo.

A defining feature of the project is the naturally weathered Luna Triple siding. Over time, Lunawood ThermoWood® has developed a beautiful silver-grey patina that gives the residence a calm and timeless character. The naturally aged façade softens the geometric architecture and creates harmony between the built structure and its lush surroundings.

Lunawood Thermowood was selected for its durability, dimensional stability, and natural aesthetic in demanding climate conditions. The evolving wooden surface demonstrates how natural materials can age gracefully while maintaining a refined architectural expression.

Casa da Rua Escócia reflects FGMF Arquitetos’ internationally recognized approach to architecture, where material authenticity and sensitivity to place shape spaces that evolve naturally over time.
