ThermoWood® is a trademarked wood material that is manufactured completely without chemicals through a patented thermal modification process. This process involves treating the wood in high temperatures between 180°C to 230°C in a controlled environment. The high temperature alters the chemical and physical properties of the wood, improving its composition and performance. The process increases the durability and stability of the wood, making it more resistant to decay. Thermowood is also less prone to warping, swelling, and shrinking compared to untreated wood, due to reduced moisture content.
