The story of Lunawood began with the dream of two visionary brothers, which became a reality thanks to their dedication and hard work. Today, perseverance and passion are still at the heart of our company. We have grown to be the global pioneer in sustainable Thermowood products for over 20 years.
With our products, born from the Nordic nature, we build a more beautiful and healthier living environment for future generations. Lunawood products have a minimal environmental impact compared to non-renewable materials, chemically treated wood and tropical hardwoods. Each Lunawood product binds 5 times more carbon than the manufacturing process.
Modern production units as well as our highly professional personnel are the most important features in ensuring the continuously stable quality of our products. Lunawood has two modern ThermoWood® production units and a wide network of professional sub-contractors in Finland. At our mills, headquarters in Lahti and in our main export countries, we employ a total of 145 professionals.
Lunawood is fully committed to the United Nation´s Global Compact Initiative and the initiative’s ten principles concerning human rights, labour rights, environment, and anti-corruption. Our sustainability goals are in line with these globally acknowledged principles.
Finnish Lunawood Thermowood is a beautiful wood material that is made by using only heat and steam.
