Lunawood’s 2024 Sustainability Report: Key Highlights
Sustainability is at the core of Lunawood’s operations. Our Sustainability Report 2024 provides an overview of the progress we have made and outlines our continued efforts toward more responsible operations, climate neutrality and circularity. The report reflects our commitment to integrating sustainability into every part of our business—from sourcing and production to customer experience and stakeholder collaboration.
In 2024, we took several important steps forward in our sustainability work.
Here are some of the highlights:
10% Less Emissions
In 2024, we succeeded in reducing the emissions of our own operations (total scope 1 and 2) by 10% from the 2021 baseline year. This was a result of shifting to green electricity and energy efficiency improvements. These efforts support Lunawood’s SBTi-validated target of 42% emissions reduction by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2035.
FSC Certification Achieved
Lunawood received its FSC® Chain of Custody certification in 2024, complementing the existing PEFC certification. This development enhances the company’s ability to offer products sourced from responsibly managed forests and strengthens its approach to sustainable sourcing.
100% Utilisation of Side Streams
All wood-related side streams generated during production were utilised in 2024, mostly for energy purposes. Lunawood also continued testing new ways to recycle sawdust and other residual materials in cooperation with external partners, aiming to further improve material efficiency and support circular economy goals.
CDP Climate SME Score: B
Lunawood received a score of B in the CDP Climate SME category, placing Lunawood in the highest scoring class for 2024 among SMEs. This reflects continued efforts in carbon footprint management and climate-related transparency.
Record-High Customer Satisfaction
Lunawood achieved a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 73 in its annual customer survey, the highest result to date. The score highlights customer appreciation for Lunawood’s product quality, service reliability, and commitment to sustainability.
