Hailey Meadows Prefabricated Home
Completed in 2025, Hailey Meadows is a 2,600-square-foot, single-story prefabricated residence in Hailey, Idaho. Designed by Method Arc and built by Method Homes and MTN Origins for a retiring couple and their visiting family, the home places the meadow landscape of the Heatherlands at the center of daily life.
A Linear Home Open to the Landscape
Organized as a simple linear bar, the house opens broadly toward the meadow, creating a direct relationship between the living spaces and their surroundings. A generous deck extends along the main gathering areas, while low planters soften the building edge and reduce its perceived scale on the site. From the hillside above, a roof finished with local ballast helps the residence settle quietly into the terrain.
Natural Material Continuity
Lunawood ThermoWood® was used for the siding, soffits, and decking, creating material continuity between the building envelope and its outdoor living spaces. Selected for its texture, warm natural color, low maintenance requirements, and price point, the material supports the aim of integrating the home with the landscape. The Luna Duo profile introduces a shadowed, batten-like texture to the exterior. Left untreated, the wood will gradually weather and develop a silver-grey tone, allowing its appearance to evolve naturally in place.
Precision Prefabrication with Reduced Waste
Method Homes prefabricated the residence in a climate-controlled factory environment, supporting precise construction, a tightly built envelope, indoor air quality goals, and reduced material waste. Factory drywall waste is returned for reprocessing, while surplus lumber is directed to local agricultural energy use. Ashley Vance Engineering provided structural engineering, and Native Landscapes Idaho designed the landscape.
