Lunawood Thermowood retains its color beautifully outside when treated with brown-tinted, UV-protected, surface treatment. If a naturally weathered, i.e., silver-grey surface is desired, Lunawood does not necessarily require any maintenance. Thanks to its resin-free composition, Lunawood does not secrete any resin through the paints or tints, which are also possible to use.

Surfaces and structures made of Lunawood Thermowood naturally reduce noise indoors. Echo is reduced on wooden surfaces, which reduces the noise level on any given premises. The porous wood surface does not reflect sound in the same way that hard and artificial materials do, making Lunawood an excellent choice for public spaces. Lunawood Thermowood panels can be installed vertically and horizontally or even in a herringbone pattern, creating both visually and acoustically functional surfaces.
