This beautiful Spanish home located in Santa Catalina, Mallorca is a perfect combination of Lunawood and local sandstone in the facade and they capture the Nordic-Mallorcan fusion perfectly. With the location like this, it was important to ensure that the dignity of the facade was kept in mind. The facade had to be modern and well-integrated but also respect the area of old fishing district of Palma.

This project is a passive house so it was clear that materials were sustainable, low maintenance and timeless and with Lunawood Thermowood, every one of those boxes were checked. The sliding shutter made of Lunawood Thermowood, grants privacy, allows winter sun to pass through and also ventilates during the summer time. This project is a solid example of how Lunawood’s light-weighted Thermowood is an excellent material for large windows.
