Capitol Way, a new mixed use development in Colindale, London, consists of 462 apartments and around 85,000 sq ft of retail space. The 5 separate buildings range from 5 to 7 storeys high. Leach Rhodes Walker Architects/Dunnett Craven Architects specified the use of Lunawood Thermowood cladding to provide a stunning and natural contrast to the exterior masonary walls of the buildings.
Around 100 cubic metres of Thermowood, treated with exterior Euro Class B fire treatment, (supplied by Arnold Laver) was used as exterior cladding on the roof apartment facades as well as a feature within the balcony areas of the lower storey apartments. The Lunawood Thermowood exterior cladding provides a sustainable and ecological finish to this apartment building.
