Nestled by the front slopes of Levi Ski Resort in Lapland, a stunning complex is taking shape, set to include over 40 holiday apartments, business spaces, and service areas, spanning approximately 7,900 square meters gross. Designed by DC3 Design & Consulting architects and undertaken by YIT under a project management contract, the project is scheduled for completion in 2025.

Luna Panel System: Adding Rhythm and Depth to the Façade

Icy Hot Chalet’s holiday apartments offer thoughtfully designed luxury, with expansive windows showcasing breathtaking views of the surrounding fells. The largest two-story loft apartments can feature floor areas of up to 200 square meters, providing ample space for relaxation and enjoyment.

For the main façade of the Chalet on the ground floor, brick has been chosen, while the upper floors feature Lunawood Thermowood cladding. The architects specifically selected the Luna Panel System for its ability to add an intriguing rhythm and depth to the cladding. By combining various thicknesses and wide profiles from the product family, the design achieves a dynamic and nuanced appearance. This domestically sourced wood façade underscores the project’s emphasis on sustainable and high-quality materials.

Construction began in April 2022, with the first phase of the project already completed, allowing residents to enjoy the holiday season in their new apartments.

Luna Panel System also continues in the interior ceilings, bringing a natural and cozy atmosphere to the living spaces.
