Located next to São Paulo’s iconic Ibirapuera Park, the AMEF Residence by Patrícia Martinez Arquitetura creates a seamless connection between residential architecture and the surrounding landscape. Designed for a couple seeking a healthy, nature-oriented lifestyle, the home offers a peaceful retreat where the presence of the bustling city fades into the background.

The architecture embraces sustainability and a strong relationship with its environment. On the façade, vertical Lunawood ThermoWood® cladding adds warmth and natural texture while complementing the residence’s contemporary barn-inspired form. Chosen for its durability, dimensional stability, and timeless appearance, Lunawood ThermoWood® will gracefully weather over time, developing a grey patina that echoes the surrounding tree trunks and strengthens the dialogue between the building and nature.
To preserve as much greenery as possible, the house was carefully positioned on the site, allowing space for a 20-meter-long biological pool. Naturally filtered through aquatic plants and microorganisms, the pool reflects the project’s commitment to ecological design. A sauna framed by a lush green wall further enhances the connection between architecture, landscape, and wellbeing.
Large glazed openings and custom modular windows create fluid transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces while maximizing natural ventilation and views of the surrounding vegetation. The upper floor is dedicated to private living spaces, including the primary suite overlooking the park’s treetops, while the ground floor brings together generous social areas designed for everyday living and entertaining.

AMEF Residence demonstrates how thoughtful material choices and landscape-sensitive design can create a home that not only responds to its natural surroundings but also contributes positively to the urban fabric. Through the use of Lunawood ThermoWood®, the project achieves a timeless expression where contemporary architecture and nature coexist in harmony.
