Luna Arctic Sharp Named an Editors’ Pick in The Architect’s Newspaper’s 2026 Best of Products Awards

Lunawood is pleased to announce that Luna Arctic Sharp has received an Editors’ Pick in The Architect’s Newspaper’s 2026 Best of Products Awards, in the Building Materials + Facades – Timber category. Based in the United States, The Architect’s Newspaper (AN) covers architecture and design through news, project stories, product coverage and industry commentary for architects and other building professionals.
AN’s annual Best of Products Awards spotlight products used to shape the built environment, from building materials and facades to interior finishes and furnishings. The publication reveals its selections in the fall, recognizing winners, honorable mentions and Editors’ Picks. The 2026 selections were announced online in September and will also be featured in the year-end Best of 2026 issue.
Luna Arctic Sharp brings the character of weathered wood to a project from day one. Made from Nordic spruce ThermoWood® in Finland, the cladding combines a brushed wood grain with a silver-grey Arctic finish. Over time, the Arctic finish gradually fades on surfaces exposed to the weather while retaining its grey color in more sheltered areas, allowing the facade to develop naturally.
The wood is thermally modified using heat and steam, without added chemicals in the modification process. This gives architects and designers a dimensionally stable, real wood option for exterior cladding. Luna Arctic Sharp can also be used indoors, supporting a continuous material palette between exterior and interior spaces.
