Lunawood strengthens sales and marketing management model

Lunawood will clarify and strengthen its sales and marketing management model by transferring all sales operations under one Sales Director and creating a new position of a Marketing Manager.

As of April 16th, Janne Heikkinen, Director, Sales, will be responsible for the entire sales operations of Lunawood including all products, markets and customers. Janne will be in charge of the company’s global sales strategy and plans and the operations and results of the international and domestic sales teams. In the future Janne’s personal sales responsibility will cover also South Korean and Norwegian markets in addition to his current responsibilities for the Middle-East and North African countries. All Area Managers will report to Janne.

As part of the change, Sami Kivistö, Director, Sales and Marketing, will leave the company on April 15th to take on new challenges. ”Sami has built Lunawood a remarkable and international growth company together with the Management Team and his sales teams. I warmly thank him for the excellent work he has done for Lunawood during those 6 years that he has been working for us”, says Arto Halonen,
the CEO of Lunawood.

To strengthen and emphasize the marketing and brand of Lunawood, a separate position of a Manager, Marketing, will be established. Marketing Manager will be in charge of the global marketing and communications of Lunawood from creating the marketing strategy to practical implementations. Marketing Manager will co-operate closely with the sales teams and report to the CEO. As of April 27, Maija Masalin, M.Sc. (Eng), has been appointed Manager, Marketing of Lunawood. She is currently working as Senior Manager, Stakeholder Relations in UPM Timber, responsible for communications and marketing of the company. Suvi Loukeinen, Marketing Coordinator, and Jaana Karell who is responsible for design and product development, will both report to Maija.
