Lunawood Urban Challenge calls for all students to redesign urban environments

Imagine urban surroundings that bring you closer to nature, thanks to renewable materials nurturing all of your senses.

The International Architecture and Design competition Lunawood Urban Challenge 2021 calls for all architecture and design students to re-imagine and redesign urban environments by using Lunawood Thermowood. The second edition of this competition offers a great platform for students to freely implement their wildest dreams and imagination to create a more natural – yet still modern – environment for urban people.

The purpose of the competition is to highlight the opportunities that building with Lunawood Thermowood offers for creating a healthier, more sustainable environment. Thus, we can reconnect nature with urban people.

This is the second time that Lunawood is looking for innovative and sustainable ideas with Lunawood Urban Challenge. In 2019, nearly 90 participants took up the challenge and we witnessed the most amazing implementations from imaginative landscaping, to finished buildings from all around the world. Once again, the participants have an opportunity to show their vision and skills in rebuilding the urban environment. The emphasis of Lunawood Urban Challenge is on original thinking, creativity, and visuality.
The competition is divided into three parallel categories: Architecture, Interior and Landscaping.

The winner in each category will be rewarded with a cash prize of €5,000 (the prizes total €15,000). The participation in the competition is free for all students.

Are you up for the Challenge? Or do you know someone who is?
