New Appointment in Lunawood Sales Organisation in Central and Eastern Europe

Effective April 14, 2025, Marco Abgottspon has been appointed Area Director for our Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region. In this role, Marco will lead and develop our sales activities in the area, working closely with our CEE team and partners to continue delivering exceptional service and support.

Marco has extensive experience with ThermoWood® products and the wood industry. His career at Lunawood began in 2012, where he held the roles of Sales Coordinator and Export Manager. He later continued to build his expertise at Stora Enso, leading their ThermoWood business, and most recently served as Sales Director at TMW Raahe Oy. In addition to his leadership in sales, Marco has contributed to the development of ThermoWood® products and has been an active Board Member of the ThermoWood® Association.

We are thrilled to welcome Marco back to Lunawood. Based in Kuopio, Finland, he will report to Maija Masalin, VP of Customer Experience, and will act as the team leader and direct supervisor of Frank Hellwege, Petr Florycek, and Axel Polland.
