New Appointments in Lunawood LLC’s Management

Matti Koski, M.Sc. (Tech.), has been appointed Managing Director of Lunawood LLC, effective February 25, 2025. Matti brings over 30 years of experience in leadership, product development, sales, and marketing roles within the forest industry in both Finland and the United States. He will be responsible for achieving Lunawood LLC’s strategic goals and managing its daily operations. Matti lives in the Atlanta area and will report to Arto Halonen, CEO of Oy Lunawood Ltd and Chairman of the Board of Lunawood LLC.

Lunawood LLC is currently preparing to install a new thermo treatment kiln and ramp up production in Cleveland, Georgia. Production is scheduled to begin in June 2025.

To strengthen our presence in the U.S. and enhance local customer service, North American sales management responsibilities will be transferred to Matti Koski from Area Director Sébastien Chenot. Sébastien has been responsible for sales and sales process development in North America during the preparation and establishment phase of Lunawood LLC. In terms of sales management, Matti will report to VP Customer Experience Maija Masalin.

Sébastien will remain actively involved, supporting Matti in an advisory role in the development of Lunawood LLC’s sales until the end of 2025.
