Boutique hospitality inspired by the Rila Mountains
Nestled in the heart of Borovets, Bulgaria’s oldest mountain resort, Flora Boutique Hotel offers a contemporary interpretation of alpine hospitality. Located just steps from the Yastrebets ski lift, the adults-focused boutique hotel combines refined interiors, wellness experiences, and close proximity to nature, creating a peaceful retreat throughout the year. The hotel’s concept emphasizes elegant design, natural materials, and a warm atmosphere that reflects its mountain surroundings.
A seamless connection between exterior and interior
Lunawood ThermoWood® plays a central role in creating the hotel’s calm and inviting character. The façade is clad with brushed Lunawood ThermoWood® spruce, bringing a natural texture that blends harmoniously with the surrounding pine forest while providing excellent durability in Borovets’ changing mountain climate.
The same material continues into the guest rooms, bathrooms, spa area, as well as the lobby and restaurant. The consistent use of wood throughout the project creates a seamless transition between the exterior and interior, strengthening guests’ connection to nature while adding warmth and tactile comfort to every stay.
Natural materials for lasting and memorable hospitality
Designed for demanding hospitality environments, Lunawood ThermoWood® offers exceptional dimensional stability and long-term durability without the use of chemicals. Thermally modified using only heat and steam, Lunawood provides a low-maintenance solution that retains its beauty over time, making it well suited for both exterior façades and interior applications.
By combining contemporary architecture with natural materials, Flora Boutique Hotel demonstrates how thoughtful material choices can elevate the guest experience while supporting long-lasting, sustainable hospitality design.
