Independent Architects have added a new level to a former single storey bungalow on a hillside in Surrey. New first floor living spaces link to an external roof terrace, allowing the former ground floor to be reconfigured to create generous sized bedrooms and a new office space.  The upper floor is clad in Lunawood thermowood which is complimented with new rendered walls below and new fenestration throughout.  The project has delivered a modern, coordinated family home, set within landscaped gardens.
