The British Ambassador to Finland – Theresa Bubbear visited Lunawood’s Iisalmi mill
The Ambassador of the United Kingdom Theresa Bubbear visited our Mill in Iisalmi September 20. The ambassador was impressed by the operation of the world’s largest and most modern thermal wood factory, and energy efficiency investments are currently being implemented. She was largely inspired by the story of the sustainable Lunawood ThermoWood® and how beautiful products are made for outstanding projects around the world. Ambassador Bubbear also discussed the potential of the UK market for sustainable Lunawood products, and she was happy about the great importance of the market in Lunawood’s business.
“We are delighted that our invitation to visit fit into Ambassador Bubbear’s calendar and that she is willing to get to know the companies operating in the UK market. In addition to our own Mill and our story, we offered the opportunity to get to know other “Wonders of Iisalmi”. Therefore, the visits to Ponsse and Olvi were also part of the ambassador’s visit program,” says Maija Masalin, VP Marketing at Lunawood.
