Casa en San Vitorio is a thoughtfully designed private home in Spain that offers a harmonious blend of indoor comfort and outdoor immersion. Designed by SearaPeleteiro Arquitectos the house is a deliberate departure from urban life, set in a quiet countryside that invites its residents to fully experience the surrounding landscapes.

Sustainable Cladding with Lunawood Thermowood
The natural tones and refined look of Lunawood Thermowood cladding contribute to the house’s light, almost floating presence, seamlessly blending it into the landscape. The durable, sustainable Lunawood Thermowood contributes to the calming, nature-connected aesthetic. Sourced from sustainably managed forests, Lunawood Thermowood offers a non-toxic, sustainable cladding option that perfectly complements the home’s integration with its natural surroundings.

A Home in Harmony with Nature and Outdoor Living
The house was designed on a single floor and elevated on a stilted structure, preserving much of the land’s natural contours. Three 7×4-meter wooden modules form the core of the home, arranged in a triangular layout that “embraces” the existing trees and captures the views, while the equilateral geometry creates covered corridors inspired by the region’s traditional architecture. The resulting structure is light, essential, and sustainable—a house that “perches” lightly on the land, evoking a sense of delicate, respectful presence.
As one of the neighbors perfectly put it at the housewarming dinner, “One day she (the house) takes off and we don’t see her again.” The house’s airy, elevated design embodies the idea of lightly touching the earth while offering a life deeply rooted in the surrounding landscape.
