Comporta 107 is a unique beach house located in the natural beauty of Comporta’s pine forests and rice fields. Designed by dEMM® arquitectura, the house integrates seamlessly with its surroundings, drawing inspiration from the region’s deserted and wild beaches and dunes.

The house consists of two distinct volumes: a wooden ground floor that anchors the house to the landscape and a concrete upper floor that appears to float above it. Patios were created on the ground floor, allowing the sand and dune vegetation to also inhabit the social area, creating the feeling of the outside inside, which can be completely enclosed.

A standout feature of the project is the use of Lunawood ThermoWood®, tailored with a custom 3D profile specifically for this house. This material choice enhances the aesthetics of both the exterior and interior, offering a visual connection to the natural environment.

The project’s materials were chosen to harmonize with both the architectural concept and natural surroundings. Lunawood ThermoWood® provides a durable and sustainable solution for exterior and interior surfaces. Exposed concrete was selected for its ability to create both weight and visual lightness, while corten steel and sand-colored natural stones, embedded with fossils, add texture and a connection to the beach. Together, these materials reflect a thoughtful balance of innovation, sustainability, and aesthetic appeal.
