This Casa de Férias in Esposende, Portugal is great example of combination of materials, combining naturally weathered Lunawood Thermowood, steel and concrete it was possible to create this balanced entity for the building. Lunawood Thermowood weathers naturally over time and changes into this beautiful grey color. That combined with stunning butterfly-shaped knots, a beautiful facade is done. And to give the final, modern touch, the facade was installed vertically.
When this building was designed, the architect wanted to take the surrounding landscape into consideration. So for example, the solar orientation was crucial when designing where each room fits the best.
