As the first 5-star hotel in Poiana Brașov and the first Swissôtel in Romania, it offers quiet luxury and natural well-being by promoting the Swiss lifestyle where vitality is central, integrating nature into all aspects of the guest experience, from the boutique spa to the privileged mountain location.
The concept of the design of the interior and the façade redefines the luxury experience by bringing nature, healthy spaces, and community Transylvanian identity into Hotel’s DNA. Drawing on Transylvanian inspiration, the design of these spaces combines natural materials, mate and rough surfaces and soft textures to create a peaceful retreat.
Multisensory scent experience
The multisensory scent in the hotel, noticeable as soon as you step into the elevator, is an essential component of the relaxing atmosphere at Swissôtel Poiana Brașov. The wood used in the design is Lunawood, thermally modified Nordic pine sourced sustainably. The patented thermal modification process gives the wood exceptional durability and stability while preserving a natural forest-like scent with notes of honey and flowers. Thermowood is often used in eco-friendly architectural projects for its resistance to harsh weather conditions and sustainability. The panelling in the rooms is made with rustic Luna Layer profiles.
The hotel’s facades, provide a striking yet harmonious visual statement, framing the forest and connecting the interior with the nature. The building integrates seamlessly with its environment, presenting an elegant and timeless exterior. The cladding features Luna Triple which gives with its two deep grooves a modern and low-maintenance batten-look surface with easy installation.
Sustainability is one of Swissôtel Poiana Brașov’s key strengths, and the hotel is designed as an eco-friendly space that minimises energy waste and environmental impact. To reduce waste, Lunawood was used in all areas, including the façade, ceilings, frames, handrails, furniture and bathrooms, while underlining the wide range of uses for Lunawood.
