At the Lohja Housing Fair in Finland, House Sensu will enchant. Sensu origins from the Japanese language and means a Japanese folding fan designed to keep its wearer cool even in the summer heat. This aspect has also been taken into account in the design of House Sensu; it is meant to stay cool and comfortable even in hot weather. Material choices, including a completely white roof, play an important role in achieving this goal.
The combination of black and concrete has been softened by Lunawood Thermowood. Luna Triple 32×140 gives a 3D-batten look in facade, main entrance and in interior ceilings. One of the great advantages of the Luna Triple Shadow is its easy installation compared to individual battens.
Thanks to the thermal modification process, Lunawood Thermowood products are ideal for people with wood-based allergies, for example. The products are clean and hygienic. This was an important point for the house couple of House Sensu, as the mother of the family, who works as a teacher, has developed asthma in a school with indoor air problems. The material choices of the house therefore had to be carefully considered. Compared to untreated wood, the total emissions of Lunawood Thermowood are significantly lower. As a small comparison, for example, the VOC (Total Volatile Organic Compound) emissions of untreated pine are 1 mg/m²h, while the same figure for Thermowood is 0,04 mg/m²h.
Lunawood Thermowood allows the same product to be used indoors and outdoors without wood treatment agents.
